Court suspends coal production at Raspadskaya mine face for 90 day
MOSCOW, Sep 14 (PRIME) -- The court suspended coal mining in longwall face 4-6-37 of the Raspadskaya mine, owned by Russian coal producer Raspadskaya, for 90 days, based on the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological, and Nuclear Oversight’s protocol, Andrei Vil, assistant to the head of the agency, said on Thursday in his Telegram channel.
The reason was failure to take measures by the company to reduce endogenous fire hazard.
The company’s representative told PRIME that Raspadskaya is eliminating the problems that led to the suspension of coal production, expecting to resume its work in full in the coming days, rather than in three months.
